The Push That Sparked It All

Some love stories need a little push, and I’d like to think I gave Ryan that nudge to realize Brielle was the one. I told my brother there was a gem right in front of him, and he needed to take the opportunity before it was too late. Thankfully, he listened. Fast forward to winter 2023, Ryan decided it was time to pop the question, hence a Surprise Proposal at Bowman’s Hill.

Planning the Perfect Surprise Proposal at Bowman’s Hill

Keeping the secret for nearly half a year was no easy task. But when the moment finally arrived, it was absolutely perfect. Ryan carefully planned the proposal around Brielle’s birthday—the ideal excuse to make the day extra special. My sister and I set out early that morning to Bowman’s Hill Wildlife Preserve, determined to get there before they did so we could capture every moment.

An Unexpected Twist to the Proposal

In an unexpected twist, my sister and I ended up hiding in the bathroom while waiting. Brielle unexpectedly needed to use it. Surprise! She opened the door to find us there, completely caught off guard. Since she had no idea what was about to unfold, I kept photographing every little detail—flowers, bugs, and candid moments—to maintain the element of surprise.

The Moment Ryan Popped the Question at Bowman’s Hill

Finally, we arrived at the bridge. Ryan knew instantly that this was the spot. Without any prompting, Brielle turned her back to him, and that was his moment. He got down on one knee, and the rest is history. The world seemed to pause as she said yes. It was a breathtaking, heartfelt moment, and I was honored to witness and capture it.

A Love Story to Remember

Their love story is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. The day was filled with emotion and joy, and I’m so glad to have been part of their Surprise Proposal at Bowman’s Hill. It was truly a day to remember.
