If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you’ve probably seen the food I’ve made or bought—smoothies, ice cream, donuts, and full meals. Food and wedding celebrations are a major focus of my life. Recently, I shared a meal I made and ran a poll on Instagram asking if my followers wanted more food-related posts. Not one person clicked “No, I’m only here for the weddings!” Instead, everyone clicked “Show me the food!” That response led me to start this blog.
In this blog, I’ll share posts about food and wedding celebrations, local food traditions like the cookie table (a big thing in PA!), personal recipes, and my favorite food spots. I’m also excited to feature some of my clients’ favorite spots or recipes along the way.
I grew up in a farming town in South Jersey and then went to college in Philadelphia. If you know anything about Philadelphia, you know about its food scene. From cheesesteaks to fine dining, Philly has it all. I worked in fine dining for a few years, trying foods I never thought I would. I had tuna tartare, octopus, fish cheeks, caviar, and so much more. My “I’ll try everything at least twice” mentality thrived in this environment.
After moving back to South Jersey and dealing with some minor health issues, I began focusing on a healthier diet. However, I still indulge in the foods I love. Sure, you can find me at Outlaw’s Burger Barn fully diving into a messy burger, but on the other hand, you’ll also find me enjoying a smoothie and avocado toast in the morning.
Though there’s still a lot to figure out, one thing is certain: this journey will be delicious. Along the way, I hope to meet clients who share my love for food. When a client says, “I want to go to cocktail hour and not miss out,” my response is always, “SAME!” If it were my wedding, I’d want to enjoy every bite, too.
In my opinion, cocktail hour is the best part of the wedding. So, here are a few of my favorite cocktail hour foods: pizza, cheesesteak eggrolls, fruit and cheese stations, sushi, and shrimp cocktails. Who’s hungry now? I know I am.
With all that said, keep an eye out for more posts to come. Comment and share your favorite places to eat, your favorite recipes, or your go-to cocktail hour foods. Whatever you want to share, just keep it food-driven!
In the meantime, enjoy these photos of me and my food throughout the years! Yes, they were taken with iPhones, but don’t worry—expect high-quality photos from my camera here on out! These are just a glimpse into my food journey before I started capturing it professionally.
